Beale Street which is known as “Home of the Blues” and “The Birthplace of Rock N’ Roll” is filled with clubs, restaurants and shops. The Rum Boogie Café is a popular bar that offers drinks, food, and live musical entertainment. Sun Studio offer tours through the ‘Birthplace of Rock N’ Roll” explaining the collaboration of blues and country music. It even offers the chance to hear recording sessions, touch Elvis’ first microphone, and see memorabilia of the studio that launched the careers of Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Elvis Presley. These are just a few places to visit regarding Memphis’ musical past.
