Tim Farley – A Brief History

Tim Farley was born in Staten Island, NY and relocated to Danville, PA with his family at a young age. After finishing high school, Tim moved back to NYC and attended SAE Institute of Technology for Audio Engineering and Sound Production. Upon graduation, Tim returned to PA and started a band called Panacea in which he was the lead singer and primary song writer. After 9 years, 5 albums and many ups and downs, Panacea finally disbanded in the spring of 2011; at which point Tim started a new project called FARLEY and released his first solo EP entitled “A Good Problem to Have” in July 2011.

Since the release of the debut EP, FARLEY has been on the rise. They released their first live album entitled “Live at the Sordoni Theater” in February 2012, followed by a 10 day tour in Ireland in summer of 2012, and then quickly released another live album “FARLEY – Live in Ireland” in October 2012. The band then recorded and released “Squaring Circles” in April 2013 to national acclaim.

Tim has also been recognized as an “Emerging Artist” through Sony Music’s Sound and Image Showcase (New York, NY), was awarded a top 5 finish in the Singer Universe Best Male Vocalist competition (Los Angeles, CA), has performed in clubs from New York, to Philly, to L.A., to Ireland, and has had his songs added to regular rotation on radio stations across the country and overseas. Tim is also a staff producer at A Street Studios (Northumberland, PA) where he has produced/co-produced/engineered rock, hip-hop, and alternative acts from across PA.
Tim has been married to his beautiful, brilliant, and supportive wife Shawnsie for 5 years. He currently lives and works in Danville PA but has plans to move to Austin TX in 2014 to start a new chapter on his musical journey. The future for this young, talented singer/songwriter/producer/performer has never been so exciting!

Several acoustic guitars, Fender Strat, Fender Tele (semi-hollow), small PA system, recording gear....enough to get it going. I used to have more but have thinned the herd to get prepared to move to Austin, TX.
