Melding acoustijazz flimflam and spacey landscapes, That Toga Band pursues organic explorations of a creative smorgasbord. That Toga Band maintains subtle oddity while juggling odd time signatures and key changes. Quirky antics and light hearted entertainment shape the band's motto: invent yourself before you reinvent yourself.
Based out of Burlington, VT, That Toga Band is a trio that focuses on centered, original compositions with an uncompromising attitude that has allowed That Toga Band to develop a truly unique sound. That Toga Band has been playing in Burlington for five years, and has played over a hundred shows in many Burlington venues including Nectar’s, Metronome, Redstock, Slade Hall, Living and Learning Fireplace Lounge, WDW Lounge, Radio Bean, Muddy Waters, and many more. That Toga Band has played as a duo, trio, quartet and a sextet that included an electric fretless bass (Peter Dotson-
Westphalen), cello (Andrew Carter) and keyboards (Lewis Rapkin) as well as the current members of That Toga Band. That Toga Band is currently playing as a trio.

Members Of Band:

Tyler George-Minetti- lead guitar, lead vocals
Hailing from Newburyport, MA, Tyler George-Minetti carries on the family musical tradition through thoughtful original compositions combined with creative improvisation. An avid geologist by day, Tyler has performed in such venues as Higher Ground and Nectar’s with Fear of Music, and has also been involved in the Critters, Sushi is Squishy and Bojam.

Thomas Pearo - guitarbass, loops, vocals
A Vermont born native and natural born poet, Thomas Pearo comfortably coordinates the "behind the scenes" structure that makes That Toga Band possible. Blending tonal structure behind beautiful melodies, Tom strives to project sonic possibilities that are in strict agreement with quantum mechanical observations. A Physicist by day, Thomas has played at Higher Ground with his side project Fatheads, and has been involved with the Critters, Birds Rule and Clouder.

Andy Karackecas- drums, percussion, vocals
Born and raised in South Paris, Maine, Andy is unquestionably the heart, laughter and juggling talent behind That Toga Band. A busker on the drum set, Andy skillfully blends rhythms from various spectral quagmires, a quagmire being a large group of "things". Andy has conducted a 17 show Eastern US tour with his band Bubblin’ Upstream and has also played in Europe with side project the Kenny Williams Jr. Band. Andy has also played venues such as Higher Ground and Nectar’s with Funk Taco and Fear of Music.
