You can hear more of my songs at soundclick.com or simply google search "the great constantini". I play all kinds of music and am open to most as long as it is a constructive situation. Please no guitar wankers, retro rockers .Also the bandmix profile questions don't quite fit who I am, so let me clarify. I sing write and play many forms of music. I am committed as much as the reality of the situation calls for. If by studio musician you mean do I get payed to play in studios...no. But I play and record all of my music in a studio...I live in a studio! I never try to take my life too seriously, lest I become a parody.
So many..oh so many. This is such an open question. Well, everything inspires me I suppose. I grew up influenced by Frank Zappa, Pink Floyd, Emerson,Lake & Palmer, Jefferson airplane, Beefheart, Yes, that sort of stuff, but today I listen to such a variety of artists such as Amy Mann, Wilco, Ween, Bare Naked Ladies, Chili Peppers, Radiohead, Mitchell Froom, Modest Mouse,Michael Penn, Amy LaVere, A Blue October, Shawn Colvin, Lisa Germano, Leonard Cohen, Wasis Diop, I don't know, it's all over the place.
I'm not sure why this all matters but okay what the heck for the equiptment junkies out there..Here's a list of some stuff I use:Blue Sky monitors, EIII keyboard, Windows based hard disk recording, Alesis ADAT, PreSonus ADL 600 mic pre, Behringer Tube composer, DBX 166 comp, Avalon U5 Direct, Fireface 800 interface, Guild guitars, Ransom guitars, Yamaha guitars, Vintage guitars, Fender guitars, Gibson guitars, Warrick basses, Carvin basses, Vox amps, Fender amps, Peavey amps, Roland outboard, Boss outboard, Altec compressors, Red mics, AKG mics Crown mics, Sure mics, Sony mics, Studio projects mics, EV mics, Nakamichi mics, Line 6 products, DanElectro products. I write and record all of my songs rather fast so whatever tool is handy at the time gets used. This also accounts for a great deal of mistakes and not always the best vocal takes, but I've learned to live with whatever comes out rather than worry about how professional it is. If I had a real studio, complete with an engineer it might be all very different.
