Multi-instrumentalist David Lindley performs music that redefines the word "eclectic." Lindley, well known for his many years as the featured accompanist with Jackson Browne, and leader of his own band El Rayo-X, has long championed the concept of world music.
The David Lindley electro-acoustic performance effortlessly combines American folk, blues, and bluegrass traditions with elements from African, Arabic, Asian, Celtic, Malagasy, and Turkish musical sources. Lindley incorporates an incredible array of stringed instruments including but not limited to Kona and Weissenborn Hawaiian lap steel guitar, Turkish saz and chumbus, Middle Eastern oud, and Irish bouzouki. The eye-poppingly clad "Mr. Dave's" uncanny vocal mimicry and demented sense of humor make his onstage banter a highlight of the show. Tickets are $12.00. 9pm.
Freekbass has collaborated with funk legend, Bootsy Collins, for several projects, the most recent being Freekbass', The Air Is Fresher Underground, released in late October, 2003.
Underground features guest appearances by Bootsy, Catfish Collins, Buckethead, Bernie Worrell and a few of the Woo Warriors, to name a few. This is Freekbass' second album to be executive produced by Bootsy, the first being Body Over Mind, Gemini/Bootzilla, 2001. This Cincinnati native brings his funk groove & crazy costumes back to The Winchester, so put on your dancin' shoes! 9pm. $10.00.
Kelly is a Cincinatti native and brings her three piece blues band up for a scream every now and then. Her guitar playing has been compared to (hats off, please) Stevie Ray Vaughan and her singing to Janis Joplin. Wow. She is as firey a guitar player as Chris Duarte. She'll wear you out! The Deja Voodoo Band opens the show! $12.00. 9pm.
Steve is currently promoting his first new album in three years, Strange Names & New Sensations, which includes an all-new recording of his Top 40 hit, "Romeo's Tune". He has carved out a unique position as one of music's most ardent and active traveling troubadours of our time. Steve is a legendary folk musician who has been nominated for a Grammy in the "Best Folk Album" Category. Tickets are $12.00 9pm.
Monte Montgomery is a triple threat, not merely a soulful singer and accomplished songwriter, but a true virtuoso on his beat-up electrified acoustic guitar. Winner of the Best Acoustic Guitarist award in the Austin Music Awards seven years straight (1998-2004), Monte was voted as one of the 50 Greatest Guitarists of all time by Guitar Player Magazine in 2004.
His unique brand of aggressive pop-rock takes listeners by surprise, and people watching his energetic live performances for the first time have been known to say, "Who is this guy, and why haven't I heard of him before?" In fact, Monte's first big break big break came in 1999 with his electrifying appearance on Austin City Limits. Tickets are $10.00. 9pm.

Mojo Risin' Doors Tribute Band
Good band, lots of fans, fun night. Mojo Risin are Doors purists and use only vintage equipment on stage to capture that unique Doors sound.
What really sets them apart from the other bands is that they re-create a Doors concert as it may have looked and sounded live in 1969, rather than just imitate The Doors as they sounded in the studio. $5.00, 9pm.
Peter Hammill was born in London in 1948. His career began as the singer and songwriter for Van der Graaf Generator, the chaotic, scary and highly influential underground group of the Seventies. The adventurous attitude which they brought to their music remains a feature of Peter's work to this day.
By the time the group folded in 1978 Peter had already recorded seven solo albums, covering numerous lyrical and musical bases in the process. If one did not know otherwise the proto-punk of "Nadir's Big Chance", the full-blown emotion of "Over" and the scatter-gun arrangements of "The Silent Corner" could well have been the work of three entirely different artists.
Peter's work has always been independent and uncompromising and it is perhaps because of this that he has been cited as a major influence by so many other artists. In their respective contexts he is as happy working with pure sonics as he is with fully orchestral songs, with three-chord electric guitar "tricks" as with piano ballads.
In addition to his "normal" output of twenty-six solo recordings of songs he has also written music for ballet, film and television. He continues to subscribe to the idea that it is more important to apply literacy, intelligence and passion to the making of music than to chase after commercial success. Tickets are $20.00. 9pm.

The Nightmare - Alice Cooper Tribute,
The Nightmare is a N.E. Ohio Alice Cooper tribute band. Is there anymore to say? $10.00. 8:30pm.
Rik is easily recognized as the singer, songwriter and guitarist of the rock trio Triumph, a band which had successful hits such as "Lay It On The Line" and "Magic Power."
He has his fair share of gold and platinum hanging on the wall after surviving three decades in the music biz. Awards like Best Guitarist at the '81 Junos, induction into the Canadian Rock Hall of Fame in '93, and Best Smooth Jazz Guitarist in 2005 highlight an ever- evolving career. There's a true singer/songwriter at the heart of it all - a multi-dimensional artist, with nothing to prove except the dignity and maturity of his continuing commitment to great music.
Rik is performing as The Strung-Out Troubadours, an acoustic duo with Dave Dunlop. Dave has been a guitar player, writer, singer & educator professionally for the last 15 years. Originally from Ottawa, Toronto has been his homebase since the late 80’s. They will be performing two shows, one at 7pm, and one at 10 pm. Tickets are $20.00 for each show.
