I am 40, have a professional kit (new Gretsch with a dozen
or more
Zildjian/Sabian) that I have a complete mic set for, played a lot when I was younger mostly
80s hard rock heavy
metal music (Judas Priest, Def Leopard, Dokken, ZZ Top,
etc...), because it
was the 80s and had some collegic experience in pep band.

Took 11 years off to get married, enough said there....

Started in 2006 playing with an indie rock band. Did that
for a year, but
same issues as the last band. Played out about 6 times.

Messed around with small projects, but couldn't find my niche, or my fellows, they all seemed premadonna's who wanted it perfect, or were struggling to start.

Started 2007 with my last band. Played mostly 70s and 80s
rock, some newer
stuff, some originals.

I am no Neil Pert, but I am more then Charlie Watts. I am
not a basher, more
of a finese player that will compliment your talents, and
if asked, can solo
as well. I am steady, can be creative, and love to play.

I live in South Saint Paul, have my own kit, and an
electric kit too if
needed/wanted.

Own a small 6 channel PA, 2 medium sized monitors, 2 small
monitors, enough
mics to mike my drumset.

I am a realist, I don't expect to become famous or
tour.

I would like to play the metro area or the outskirts if it
is a Saturday.
Plan to play no more then twice a month and no less then
once every other
month.

Let me know what you are looking for.

I have a flexible practice schedule, ready to start off with 2 a weeks until we are tight, and then fall into the groove of 1 a week. Figure if we are playing out, we will perfect what we got on stage.

I don't want to be a mimic for the CD, more make my own sound to the original artist. I am not a metronome, and I have no attitude, just want to play.

Prefer an east side band but am open as I am centrally located.

John
