"The Genres" are a San Francisco based collective seeking a backup lead guitarist and/or keyboardist to enhance the band's roster for live performance needs and are open to the players own personal flair and edge to devote towards the overall sound. The Band has released one studio record, and is in the process of elevating its sound with serious musicians and or songwriters. The band is seeking skilled professionals that are willing to record in studio or take on local gigs and/or tours.

The Genres have an influence of Hip Hop, Soul, Rock and Reggae, that they like to blend by using their wide variety of influences and applying them toward their songwriting. Some artists that influence the band members range from Protoje, Damian Marley, Nas, The Roots, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Hiatus Kaiyote, Stevie Wonder, Parliament Funkadelic, Led Zeppelin. EQUIPMENT

The Genres have a professional recording studio with a separate practice room fully equipt to record rehearsals or professional tracking for records in South San Francisco, CA. Each musician provides their own equipment for rehearsal; amps, guitars ect. Aside from personal equipment, the studio is fully equipped for recording and rehearsing.

For rehearsal purposes, the in studio equipment includes a JBL PA system as well as a Yamaha Motif XF6, digital Soundcraft mixing console, Universal Audio gear, various microphones ranging from Neumann u87 to Shure Beta 87A, Bongos & Congas, percussions, drum machines, sequencers, modulators, & many more items.

The studio has a live room, a control room, and an isolated vocal room. They believe strongly in high quality sound and performance and will provide the most positive and productive environment they can.

Various Outboard Gear including Avalon 737, Almost every Audio Plugin Known to the Industry, and DAW's as well!
