ABOUT

Having worked as a professional engineer and producer in the music business for the last decade, I have had the pleasure of working with some of the best in the industry. From Grammy nominated albums to working with my personal heroes (Maynard James Keenan being my all time favorite), I have learned how to develop a sound all of mine own.

I finally decided to use these skills to create my own project two years ago. Although I have written songs in all sorts of genres, this first release of The Manic Diaries (Vol 1) is my own personal manifesto about the struggles and underhanded dealings that exist throughout the music world. Although other releases are going to differ, this first volume is heavy and aggressive. But it has been such a therapeutic process in expressing the frustration that I hope so many in the industry can relate to.

The stories I have from a life surrounded by music, redemption, and the occasional decadence, have all added up to this first release, and I hope that these songs impact you in some way that you find relatable.

I recorded this song (and the 3 other songs soon to be released from Vol 1) from my home studio creating drum loops and percussion from various samples that I have collected over the years while recording all of my guitar parts through a Peavey 5150 II head that has a modified tube combination on the output. I used a Beyerdynamic M201 on a 4x12 Randall Cabinet for all of the guitars, and used a ZVex Fuzz Factory for additional tone on some of the overdubs. Special thanks to Ed Harris for letting me use a custom baritone guitar for all of the songs on Vol 1. For Bass guitar, I tracked using an Ernie Ball Music Man 4 string bass through a Sansamp DI unit. And finally, all vocals were track through an SM7 microphone.

I would also like to thank Heath Hindman (Dimitri Tryptamine on FB) from Egypt Central, White Lighter Curse for playing the guitar solo on this song. Everything else I produced, performed, engineered and mixed from my studio. Mastering was engineered by Kevin Nix of L.Nix Mastering, Memphis, TN.

3 more songs are currently in production and will be released as I finish up vocals. Thank you for taking the time to read this and for any support that you show this project. Stay tuned for more coming soon.
