From the depths of New York City's own Hell's Kitchen come The Shapes ...a performance driven five piece indie rock band based on Manhattan's West Side. The Shapes capture their audience and swallow them whole with an all out guitar assault and wall of sound... alternating red hot melodies with catchy hooks and contagious boy/girl vocal stylings. The band has played at many hip local venues including Lit, Piano's, Trash, Siberia, Don Hill's, and the Continental. They also played the NYLON festival in Williamsburg this past summer with buzz bands The Bravery, Joker Five Speed, and Daddy. The Shapes are currently recording at Threshold Studios and their debut self-titled EP is due out in late spring. The band is being featured on WBAI 99.5 this coming month.
