About
Singer, guitarist and songwriter Andrew Hazemy formed The Stone Wheels in 2009, as his first endeavor into the world of live rock and roll. With a penchant for big, bluesy guitar riffs that echo such influences as Stevie Ray Vaughn and Tony Iommi, Andrew began the process of writing songs and searching for a rhythm section to round out his sound.
After a year of multiple players and minor set backs, Andrew ran into long time drummer Jack McFadden. Jack had recently returned to Northeast Ohio after a ten year stay in San Francisco California, where he had been performing with the bay area band The New Up. Jack brings his love for such powerhouse drummers as John Bonham, Bill Ward and Tommy Lee into the mix.
After a few jam sessions, the two decided to call on Jack's former bass player from the early and mid 90's, Mike Maynard.
Mike had been laying low for a few years after having spent time playing bass in a band called Love Lies Bleeding, which featured none other than X Factor finalist Josh Krajkic.
The Stone wheels are now a full speed ahead power trio playing an ecclectic mixture of rock, hard rock and blues. Have a listen to their songs and spread the good word.
