I've been playing for a lazy 4 years and find that for a 17 year old I am quite well put together when it comes to music. I do not read sheet music anymore (haven't for a long time). Started playing guitar middle of my 9th grade year and I am now about to graduate as a senior, looking for some fun and possibly a band to actually jam with. I'm all over the place when it comes to music and guitar playing influences but I stick mainly to metal and rock with my playing. (Yeah, yeah you gotta be 18 for this, deal with my lie its only a year)
