Here's what's up. I am a guitarist who has been playing for 14 years, and I have professional equipment and a professional attitude to match. I moved to Kansas City to join a promising band that had a lot going for it, but now said band has broken up. The band I was most recently in can best be described as a band with the right combination of screamo and metal influences – maybe a blending of Avenged Sevenfold, Thrice, and the Used. I liked that style, but in the past I've also done death metal, thrash, nu-metal, and hardcore in various other bands I've been a member of. Before I moved, I was in a band from Illinois that accomplished quite a bit, including a national club tour opening for Dope (my old bassist from that band is the new bassist of 12 Stones...oops, 'scuse while I pick up this name I dropped). Before we went on tour, I was also a music major in college and so I have a fair amount of music theory knowledge. My playing style can best be described as this: I am a more-than-capable rhythm guitarist and while my lead chops are not in shredder territory, I can craft a memorable, singable solo that flows well with the part, and throw out a few tricks here or there that I have stashed up my sleeve. I am also drug-free, although I do drink a little socially. I believe having a good image is important when in a band, and I am confidant that whatever image your band adheres to, I can go with it. I also believe in putting on a high energy show and therefore I tend to go a little nuts onstage.

Also, it has been suggested to me that I give being a frontman a try, as I have been practicing my screams a lot in recent months, and I have taken vocal lessons in the past, so I know proper vocal maintenance and warmup. My vocal style takes a lot of cues from Richard Patrick (Filter), Daryl Palumbo (Glassjaw, Head Automatica), Matt Baird (Spoken), Jeremiah Ruff (Phoenix Mourning), Brock Lindow (36 Crazyfists), Speed Strid (Soilwork), Cove Reber (Saosin), and others of the same ilk, and I also can throw in some good death metal-style growls for good measure. However, I do not have a P.A. System of my own as it was only recently suggested I try being a singer.

Here's what I'm looking for: a band with a professional attitude that strives for success. No BS...I don't want to deal with people that will start off working towards the goal, only to gravitate more and more towards the video game console. I'm not so much concerned with musical style, so much as I am that the musicians be up to the tasks of performing intense music that can draw people in, and push it to the masses in pursuit of the goals of representation, record contracts, tours, endorsements, and the like. I'd prefer it be in the age range of 21-28, but certain exceptions can be made. I don't care about if I play with males or females, but were I to play with a female(s), I have a strict policy of not getting involved romantically or physically – I will NOT be involved in a Jefferson Airplane or Fleetwood Mac situation. I do not care if you do drugs or alcohol so long as it never interferes with the band's progress.

I am currently located in Lees Summit, MO, a suburb of Kansas City. I WOULD be willing to relocate for the right situation.
