ABOUT

Music is my life. I love to play my guitar and sing. I first became interested in music listening to my mom's Elvis Presley records and watching Presley's movies. My first guitar was a gift from my grandpa, Columbus Indiana's big band leader Charles Brown. "Swing on down with Charlie Brown"! I still have that guitar, a Kay acoustic. It hangs on my wall and I wouldn't take a million dollars for it.

My mom made me take guitar lessons. Well..... I hated it, the teacher was really strict and not too nice. I think I was in the third grade. I begged my mom to let me quit. She finally agreed, so instead of taking formal lessons, I started jammin to those Elvis records. I learned to develop my ear listening to my mom's record collection. Lots of Motown! Man I wore those 45's out!

By the time I was 15, I was in my first band, Hot Rocks, with my camping club buddies. Our first gig was for our parents, at a camp-out. We only knew two songs:"Smoke On The Water" by Deep Purple and "I'm A Man" by Chicago. We just played them over and over. Our light show was one of those Christmas tree floodlights that rotated around. Yes we were quite something.

I have been in many bands since. It has been a blast. It is such a blessing to be able to touch peoples lives thru music. Playing music is such spiritual thing for me. I like music that's about love and real life.

I am currently a member of The Progressive Celtic Band "Celtica" playing Guitar, Irish Bouzouki, Mandolin, Bodhran Drum and vocals. I am also working with The Hoosier Daddy Band performing Classic Rock covers in clubs all over Southern Indiana. I am part of an acoustic duo "Ta Da!" with Angela Adrian on Keyboards and vocals. We play festivals and restaurant/clubs, doing acoustic covers of new songs as well as Classic Rock songs.
