ABOUT

I am a versatile drummer that can sing lead and backing vocals. With 30 years experience playing live, I have a comfort level on stage correlative with a natural habitat. I am personable as well, normally assuming the PR of projects in which I am involved. I am open to a myriad of endeavors including gigging locally or touring nationally. I am also available for studio work both in drumming and vocals.

Influences

Early influences are in the rock vein with Rush and Led Zeppelin. I have enjoyed countless acts over the years including Thin Lizzy, Dire Straits, The Grateful Dead, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Blue Oyster Cult, Allman Brothers Band, and many, many more. Just this past year I was blessed enough to see Billy Joel, Tool, John Prine, Eric Clapton, Robert Plant, Robert Randolph, Anders Osborne, Railroad Earth, String Cheese Incident, and Yonder Mountain String Band live, just to name a handful. I am a live music enthusiast and rarely go more than three weeks without seeing live music. I perform each Sunday in The Noodles at Cactus Jacks in Phoenix, Arizona, performing the music of The Grateful Dead.

EQUIPMENT

I play a Pearl Masters Classic 8-piece, 6-ply maple shell, quilted bubinga sunburst finish, with Zildjian A-Customs all around. My dream kit was purchased one year ago on the heels of my desire to commit my life to live music performance in some fashion.
