I'd like to be able to skirt the line between jam band, progressive rock, jazz and world beat, to the extent that this is possible. I just like to play music that interests me and challenges me, from open jamming and absolute music in the style of King Crimson to pocket playing like groovin' to When I'm Kissin' My Love by Bill Withers. I'm not at all above playing covers - in fact, I love it - but I prefer to think that when musicians get together, even covers don't sound like anybody else but the musicians playing.
I'm a drummer with diverse interests and experience, from playing in a tribute to Rush for a few years to playing original progressive rock/gothic rock music to playing in a Christian rock band in an acoustic setting. Also done a little groove-rock type stuff.

Steely Dan; King Crimson; Genesis; Yes; Jane's Addiction; Blind Melon; Afro-pop including Kassav, Angelique Kidjo, Baaba Maal; Chick Corea; Stevie Wonder; Al Green; Curtis Mayfield; Bill Withers; White Stripes, Recontours, Dead Weather and all things Jack White; I'm sure there's more, but you get the picture.
Lots. I'm a drummer.
