Bass Player
Older musician with wide experiences and influences.
Non-Smoker, Non-Drinker, Excellent Equipment and Transportation but I’m not put-off those do imbibe as long as they don’t drive, Available to practice anytime, anywhere.

Influences:

Primarily a Blues/Rock orientation but have played in Country and Western bands and some Jazz experience. My blues influences are Robert Johnson, B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Freddie King, up thru Anita Baker and Robben Ford to Robert Cray, Jeff Healy, Joe Bonamassa, and Greg Koch. Jazz influences are John Coltrane, Wayman Tisdale, David Sanborn, Yellowjackets, Johnny Hartman, Gerald Wilson, Joe Williams etc. In other words all over the place. Don’t be mislead by the above, these are influences I only wished that I could play as well as most of these folks.

I have played with the Righteous Brothers, Don and Julian, Richard Berry, Marvin and Johnny, Clydie King, Mary Wells, the Rivingtons, Dave Carver, Tony Allen and other R&B folks. Locally I did a few gigs with a folk group, and a one nighter with a modern rock band. .

I have been out of music last 8 years because of a serious accident. The accident left me unable to stand for much over an hour and I do limp badly.
Just picked up the Bass, and I’m getting some competence and learning my way around the neck. I can play a solid Rhythm Guitar and some Lead Guitar. Getting back into the swing of things hopefully

I believe that I would fit well in a Gospel group, or a Faith Based ensemble. I could contribute almost immediately to a Blues group and even a serious folks type group.

Equipment List:

Fender Jazz Bass with SWR LA 15 no problems with getting bigger stuff if needed
Fender Stratocaster RH
Fender Tweed Blues Deville 212
