ABOUT

My name is Tom. Very solid lead guitarist, songwriter, lyricist. Ultra creative mind, can improvise, know theory, and want to find some like-minded ppl to form an original band that might sound like Pink Floyd, Tool, Nirvana, Rage, WEEN, and Led Zeppelin all ran a train on the Rolling Stones. Totally open mind, funny, laid back, and not a ball hog or egomaniac. I welcome new songs, input on my ideas, and giving feedback. I enjoy using effects but dont need to hide behind them. Not looking to get famous. Just a solid group of ppl who have fun, record, maybe gig a few times. In it for the music, not a paycheck. If it eventually goes that way, though, cool. Hit me up at Tcinpa3737 at g mail.

I have band experience and a few gigs under my belt. What I lack in much studio and stage work, I feel I make up for with what I bring to the table as far as ability to write, gear knowledge, creativity, adaptibility, and of course skills on the guitar. My sound is very useable and I know how to create riffs that "drive" a song.

I will have some sounds and generic demos up here soon.

Influences

Floyd, Hendrix, Tool, STP, Soundgarden, Led Zeppelin, Stones, Beatles, Alice in Chains, Sabbath, Rage Against the Machine, lots of blues greats, etc etc. I said when I started playing I wanted to eventually sound like a cross between Gilmour and Page. I'm close now, but somewhere along the way, a little Stevie Ray, Dan Auerbach, and Keith Richards all crept into my style. I can write almost any type of lyrics. In your face classic rock, esoteric and poetic like Hendrix, deep and philosophical like Floyd, dark and obscure like TOOL, fun and silly like Tenacious D, dirty and suggestive, bluesy, lovey dovey sappy moochy kissy, or hell, even main stream pop or hip hop if I wanted (which I don't).
