About
I selected "Just for Fun," but I'm willing to get more committed, should the right opportunity present itself. My background is in classic rock and blues, with a subspecialty in Allman Bros and Dead. I've been out of the scene for several years, but am ready to take the plunge again. Most of my experience in the latter years of my playing was in improv rock (long instrumentals), so my "song" repertoire has gone to s**t, but I'm a quick study. Will do anything but Rap or slap/pop funk, although I'm weak on quick Jazz improv. I can learn Jazz tunes, but have to settle gradually into Improv.
Influences
James Jamerson, Berry Oakley, Phil Lesh, Paul McCartney, Bill Wyman, JPJ, Tommy Shannon, Allen Woody, Jack Bruce, the Doors guy (yeah, they did have a bass player), Geezer Butler, Bob Daisley, Andy Frazier, Boz Burrell, Noel Redding, Stefan Lessard, Joey Arkenstaat
