About
I've been playing in different bands off and on since I was 14 or 15. I've got stage, studio, and road experience. I haven't been on a stage in a few years, but over the last few years I've jammed with a couple of different bands. Just never found the right chemistry.
I've played guitar and bass in many different venues, including CBGB, Arlene Grocery, Finally Fred's NYC, Stone Pony, Birch Hill, The Saint, and many others.I've opened for GWAR, Type O Negative, Drowning Pool, Daisy Berkowitz (ex- Marilyn Manson), OHGR, Stereomud, LOA, Sevendust, Powerman 5000, BILE, SR-71, Fuel, and many, many others. As times changed, and life started happening more and more, I started playing less and less-- but now it's time to change that.
I work crazy hours- 12 hour shifts. Days. Nights. Weekends. Holidays. The only plus to that is that while my schedule varies, I usually know what it's going to be at least a month in advance, unless something happens.
I'm a team player, and looking to find something where everyone wants to work together towards a common goal: making music and having fun. Anything on top of that is a bonus.
All that being said, I'm looking for something that has a flexible rehearsal schedule, gets together at least once a week, and isn't too far from home. I live in southeast Queens, on the Nassau border. I'm open to pretty much any type of situation: cover, original, or even just getting together and jamming for fun while we drink a few beers. I have reliable transportation and decent equipment. What I don't have are drug or alcohol problems, ego problems, or willingness to deal with any kind of drama. I consider myself easy to get along with, and expect the same in any situation I become involved in.
I'd love to gig once or twice a month, once things get rolling, and I'm not opposed to some light travelling for a gig, either (read: weekend warrior type stuff. The days of waking up in an old ass van with my drummers dirty feet in my face are long behind me.)

**I'm currently working with a band (6/6/13), but feel free to contact me just the same**
Influences
I've got a lot of influences, from guys like SRV and Dimebag to local people no one's ever heard of. I love to listen to all types of players, in all types of genres.
Some of the bands I grew up listening to (and still listen to today):
Pantera
Ozzy (Randy Rhoads era stuff is my favorite)
Motley Crue
Black Label Society
Stevie Ray Vaughn
Alice in Chains
Charlie Daniels Band
Hank Williams III
Megadeth
Metallica
Skynyrd
Led Zep
Robert Cray
Paul Bento
..... That's just a few.
