I started playing bass guitar around 8 years ago. In that time I've picked up a little electric and acoustic training also. I play mostly lead on electric, a little bit of lead on acoustic but I play more rhythem on it. One of the most important things about playing with a band to me is making sure everyone has similiar goals in what they are trying to achieve. Influences might vary among each member as long as what you are trying to record is on the same level.

Influences
So much great music out there, narrowing it down is such a chore, Early Influences include Nirvana, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, Rage against the machine, White Zombie, Manson, Pantera, NiN Tool, Alice in Chains, Butthole Surfers etc... Lately I've been more into Zeppelin, Kyuss, Acid bath, Clutch, Steve Vai. The list could go on for days, and although most of the influences listed are rock, I play some jazz/blues as well as a little ambient electronic music.
EQUIPMENT
Acoustic fender
Electric: Fender Stratocaser, Epiphone Les Paul, Ibanez S-series
Bass: Epiphone 5-string fretless
Amps: Line 6 Flextone III, my bass amp is a Peavey TKO 115. Not very happy with my bass/amp combo atm.
