ABOUT

Welcome! On my own now (musically speaking) and available for one nighters or extended gigs (any genre) if the money is right.I am too old for freebies. I"m about ready to break out with my uke bass...very sweet and very small. A real treat after moving drums for 50 years. Still have a neat little trio with Tom Shannon on sax, and Mark Lee on keys.

Influences

Morello, Krupa, Rich, Roach...the old masters. New masters like Igoe, Hamilton, Ballard. Drumming just keeps getting better! Do you have originals you need a real drummer to play on? A real musician trumps pro tools.

Members Of Band

Winter and spring were pretty good for gigs. Between both groups, I was getting 2 or 3 paying gigs a month. I just added some photos from the 'End of the World' party we played at Cain's. I thought my new little drum set looked pretty good under the lights! It sounds great with the new heads! I guess you've done it all in Tulsa when your group gets on The Wall at Cain's.I've been playing quite a few gigs at The Summit Club, Montereau, and some other swanky places with Mike Lowry on p.,and Tom Shannon on s.. It's interesting not having a bass player. Did the easter brunch gig at Prarie Grass Table downtown with Sally Adams on vocals. We also played the Campbell Hotel on 11th street. I'd never heard of it but apparently it's been there for years. Who knew? Nice place.
Thought I would add a few photos of another group I work with, Vintage. Great female singer, the guys are fabulous players. Hope to get some music up soon.

EQUIPMENT

I love my new red sparkle Sonor Bop Kit. Fiberskyn heads sound quite vintage on this sweet little set. Zildjian, Saluda, Masterworks.
