Uncle Beer are currently seeking a drummer who can keep up with us. We're a cover band who takes classic rock and pop songs from 80's to current and transforms them into grindcore metal. We rehearse Monday nights from 8 until we're done, usually between 11 and 12. We currently have 7 songs as tight as possible without a drummer and therefor without a final arrangement for them and we have been adding a song to work on every week. Our current set list is Smoke on the Water, Immigrant Song, Let's Get it Started, Pokerface, Party Til You Puke, Jenny and Born to be Wild. This week we'll be working on Bawitdaba. Our goal is simply to have fun and if we become the biggest party band in NJ that's cool with us too.
Our requirements for you:
Be comfortable with double bass and overplay every song
Know how to have fun with rehearsals and don't take yourself too seriously
Be open for just about anything
When we start getting gigs, be a frontman in your own right
Be an adult! We're all in our 30's.
Communicate well and don't ever quit
Be dedicated to getting to rehearsals. This is our night away from the world and none of us has missed a rehearsal and won't unless we're dying.
Bring some beer! Yes, we all do.
