I'm a solid drummer with tons of gig and recording experience- can make a casual gig sound rehearsed on the fly or minimal practice as well as read basic charts in the studio --am interested in GIGGING with either a genuine blues band or a cover band --open to originals but will NOT practice endlessly without gigs email me at tfaris AT comcast DOT net or call 239-821-8109

Influences

anything of quality--i have a wide range--i can play a fatback like charlie watts of the stones or keep up an odd time signature and make it flow--i have a true blues foundation but am not stuck in any one mode--- i may listen to miles davis/john coltrane / the beatles/ capt beefheart/ radiohead/ led zepplin johnny cash and the sex pistols, muddy waters and jerry reed in the same hour! and keep up with all of them on the drums--I started by listening to hendrix, the who, the beatles and stones but realized that none it made sense until I STUDIED the blues---i bought my first kit in '77--psychobilly is always fun and willing to throw in some country from some of the greats IE waylon, willie, johnny, Hank etc

drums (an old tattooed ludwig rocker kit- for the nasty gigs! and a beautiful yamaha maple custom for larger venues) some mics(SM57's for the snare and toms, AKG D112 for the kick and an AKG 414 for overhead, a car, a phone and a muzzle for the old lady
