Biography

Uproar is a union of four extremely accomplished musicians from both sides of the pond. Every member has toured extensively headlining prestigious shows and festivals as well as opening for major acts including Eddie Money, The Romantics and The Wallflowers. The band’s personnel has played in the world’s most important rock ‘n’ roll cities including London, Los Angeles, Rotterdam, New York, Nashville, San Francisco, Toronto and Perth, Australia.


Stage presence is a key element of Uproar. Davy, Ed and John all play wirelessly, not only to add to the spectacle but also to actively involve the audience – an important part of the band’s approach to live shows.

Members Of Band

British singer Davy Alder brings authenticity to Uproar’s Brit rock led setlist with tones reminiscent of Paul Rodgers and Robert Plant. Lead guitarist Ed Grohe brings a riveting musical and visual dynamic to the band. Jim Spencer’s superior drumming spans the gamut from Bonham to Baker and takes no prisoners. And bassist John Gore holds down the bottom end superbly.

EQUIPMENT

Between them, Uproar's members own over 30 guitars from Gibson RDs and Firebirds to Custom Les Pauls and vintage Teles. John plays an FP and Jim's 5 kits include a Tama, Yamaha and Simmons.
