Do you love Oldies? Do you sing? Are you creeping up on middle age? (or better stated: "Is middle age creeping up on you!") Have you played in bands in your "youth"? Do you want to get together with some other folks to play the music you love, have fun and play occasional gigs? You might just be the person we are looking for!
We are looking for a singer (who can also play some backing guitar or keyboards)in his (or her) late 30's, 40's or 50's to join an oldies group in Charleston.
We already have: Keyboard/Vocals, Lead Guitar, Drums and Bass already on board. Lots of the songs we do can really benefit from 3 vocalists. A singer who could handle some rhythm guitar or horn parts faked on a keyboard would be a real plus. We have been playing together for a few months.
Here's an idea of the kind of music we play:

None of us are full time professional musicians. We all have professional jobs outside of music as well as families, so this is a weekend kind of thing with the goal to play out maybe 1-2 gigs/ month once we are up and rolling. We don't want to be rock stars, just have a good time playing music we love and maybe making a little $$$ on the side. An ability to get along with people is required. This is a low stress venture, and we want to keep it that way. We basically are doing this for the fun and fellowship, and because we love the music. No big egos allowed. We have a zero tolerance policy for any drugs (including weed.) Sorry, but we all have professional jobs than none of us want to endanger! Likewise, we are not interested in drunks. We want to play music, not find drinking buddies... We practice once a week (Usually Sundays 6:00PM, but that could change if everyone agrees)
Our goal is to play local parties and the occasional wedding etc. We really do not want to play bars, except on occasion if it is a special setting.

Thanks for looking!
