ABOUT
Vinyl Destination is a cover band based in the Sacramento/Foothills area. We focus on a variety of music, mainly from the 60s through the 80's spanning classic and country rock loved by many generations today. Artists we cover include Beatles, BeachBoys, Eagles, Doobies, BeeGees, CCR, CSN&Y, 3DogNight, Clapton, Byrds, Stones, America, Four Seasons.
Band member ages range from 40’s to 60’s so a person somewhere in that age range might fit in best. This is NOT a full-time band, or primary source of income. We are selective in our venues, preferring community events, restaurants, wineries, weddings. Performance hours typically run up to midnight.
Below are some “musts” and “wants” for band members
MUSTS:
1. Commitment to rehearsals. Although this is not our prime source of income, we want to produce a quality performance for our listeners. The only way to do that is assuring all members attend scheduled rehearsals.
- Voice for singing harmony that blends well
- Reasonably available for gigs, probably maximum of one or two a month.
- Alignment to the genre of music that we cover
- No drug or alcohol issues that would in any way affect being in the group.
WANTS…
- Very good bass guitar
- Rhythm guitar a plus
- Able to sing harmony parts well, possibly some lead vocals
- Ability to interact well with the audience.
