This Los Angeles based band, currently consisting of three members, aggressively seeks a vocalist to complete their concept. The band’s roster includes, drummer Rorie D. van Klaveren, bassist Chris Dunn and guitarist Shawn Lickliter. As a power trio they have inspired each other to make better music, progressing it to the next step and beyond. Each has been brought together through their own extensive journey. Together, the quest has accumulated years of extensive credentials with writing, performing, and recording various styles of music. Their time together has been short, but the bond is strong and is pushed by a driving force that strives for accomplishment. Rorie D. van Klaveren grew up in the mountains of Utah. He found himself entering into the world of music at the age of four, playing piano and percussion. As he grew older he turned his focus solely to the drums. He has performed with the Utah Symphony, attended the University of Utah on a music scholarship, and toured professionally with numerous jazz/fusion/funk bands. The film and television industry brought him to Los Angeles where he has established himself on both the big and small screen. Working in the world of entertainment has not slowed his music career. While in California he has played with the bands The Red Shift, Visitor 314 and The Art Of Dirt balancing his attention to FX's Emmy Award Winning TV series "Nip/Tuck". Rorie’s signature is a hard-hitting style that combines articulation, precision, clarity, and complexity. The tone is distinguished by an ability to shift between standard and irregular time signatures, a facility of limb independence, ambidextrous cross-sticking patterns, and a skillful command of tonal and volume range. His many influences range from Josh Freese, Danny Carrey and Stewart Copeland to fusion and jazz drummers Buddy Rich and Bill Bruford. Rorie plays Pork Pie Percussion drums with Zildjian cymbals.

Shawn Lickliter, originally from Knoxville, made his connection with the project through mutual friends living in Tennessee. Lickliter had been touring with the band Copper for two years when he was asked to join the English band Troup and move to California. Shortly after creative differences pulled Shawn away from the group, he found himself looking for a new endeavor. Combining many techniques utilizing alternative power chords, Shawn’s style is a statement of arpegiated structures with melodic overtones. Much of his instrumental experimentation is used to cultivate the band's overall tone. A balance of heavy and melodic polyrhythms, with a sense of dynamics. Jimmy Page, Adam Jones, David Gilmour, and Johnny Greenwood loosely influence Lickliter. He is primarily inspired by the visual stigma of film, photography and art. Shawn is an avid wine collector, gourmet chef and chooses the expert level when he plays video games. Shawn uses PRS and Gibson guitars with Bogner and Mesa/Boogie amplifiers.

Chris Dunn, was born in Canada, but grew up in northern California. At the age of fourteen a guitar found it’s way into his hands, leading him to time in several bands. One stint included a funk/rock/fusion band in Humboldt County that lasted for five years and toured all over the Redwood Empire allowing him to experiment heavily in improvisational music. Having dabbled on the bass throughout his years of guitar playing, Chris moved to Los Angeles and played bass in two notoriously rowdy hard rock acts W3G and Class of Zero. W3G was banned from seven LA clubs for inciting riots that one time managed to close down Sunset Boulevard completely. Chris went on to record one EP and two full-length albums with Class of Zero, followed by extensive tours throughout the western US and Europe. The tours showcased the band while opening for the likes of Motorhead, Sepultura and Opeth. Eventually COZ’s time came to an end, and Chris became free to find (or form) a new project that would allow him to combine his original experimental intentions in music with the solid backbone bass stylings he had acquired over the last several years. Chris balances his passion for music, his love for snowboarding and traveling with his work as a field biologist. Chris plays Modulus, Schecter and Ernie Ball bass guitars with Mesa/Boogie amplifiers and SansAmp preamps.

These past experiences have allowed Chris, Shawn and Rorie to fully appreciate the musical force created by this partnership. They’ve barely begun to scratch the surface of their musical artistry and look forward to sharing it with the rest of the world.
