Band to Join, Vocalist, Bass Guitar, Drums.

ABOUT

Hi, I am a songwriter & keyboardist. I am working with a guitarist/bassist writing progressive/alternative rock. I focus on creating unusual chord progressions which become the core of the song, then EC adds guitar & bass. We would like to add a vocalist/lyricist, and eventually would like a drummer and bass (or bass/guitar switchoff). We have enough material to create 1-2 albums, so this project can advance quickly once we add the right people.

In another personal project, I have about 25 Spiritual songs. My hope is to perfect & record, perform & share the music and inspiration I feel from the music. I am not a strong singer and am low on lyrics, so I'd like to work with a vocalist to collaborate with. This is more of a duo-project than a band-project, but you never know.

I also gig with several local bands, blues, classic rock, jamming.

Influences

Growing up the 70's my strongest influences of the era are: Pink Floyd, Yes, Genesis, Elton John, Billy Joel, David Bowie, Deep Purple, Moody Blues, Led Zep, Supertramp, Doors, Beatles, King Crimson, Peter Gabriel.

I also like Jazz: Pat Metheny, Jean Luc Ponty, Santana, Chick Corea/ Return To Forever, Bela Fleck, Yellowjackets, Steps Ahead, Dixie Dregs, Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock.

Classical piano lessons growing up, my favorites are: Debussy, Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Mozart.

More recent years: Dave Matthews Band, Beck, Nine Inch Nails, Alanis Morissette, Sheryl Crow, Phish, Moby, Cold Play. I'm very open minded to music, so just because it's not listed, doesn't mean I wouldn't like it or that I wouldn't play it.
