Does anybody want to make it happen ? WTF! for all the ads on Bandmix in the New Haven area, seems no one wants to play. Either someones looking for perfect clones of themselves or think you'll get somewhere praticing twice a month. I played alot of jam/alternative in the 90's when I lived in VT. Now I don't mind playing either style, I also like blues and reggae. I've rediscovered alot of the groups I loved as a kid. Was working with a percussionist & 2nd guitarist for a while, but they both flaked out. At this point I'm happy to play either bass or rythym guitar, can even play lead in a pinch. I must admit that I prefer playing electric, I like to use to my nylon string classical guitar to ad a little texture here and there on recordings. I would find it kind of limiting to play all night, plus it has no electronics. When I was playing with the percussionist & 2nd guitarist we were doing some tunes I wrote in the 90's & some not too overplayed rock covers. I love working on stuff, but recording tracks by yourself gets old kind of quick for me. I've gotten better with my Sonar LE recording software, though I'm more competent with traditional analog equipment. My goal is to record a solid demo & start playing out again, it's been far too long. I even have a good sized rehersal space at my disposal. Is there anybody out there ?
