James Schweda, also known as Weather, is a singer-songwriter based in Seattle who plays a mix of Funk, Folk, Jazz and Country known as folkadelic con-fusion. Sometimes described as the love child of Bob Dylan and Neil Young conceived on the Grateful Dead parking lot; Weather plays concise, lyrically complex modal jams.

Weather has been playing guitar for over twenty years and has composed over forty original tunes. He also plays a variety of cover and traditional tunes. He's played in numerous bands dating back to the early 90's. He's shared the stage with a number fantastic musicans including Wynton Marsalis, Kasey Anderson and Jason Heinrich (Metal Church).

On Sunday, August 12th, The Parliament Tavern will be hosting three of the Pacific Northwest’s most challenging singer-songwriters: Sidecar, Bud and The Aly Crase. The Parliament Tavern is located at 4210 SW Admiral Way, Seattle, WA 98116.

Sidecar is a local artist and front man of the Tacoma fusion trio, Western Spyders. “Born in the South, raised in the sound” is the phrase that best captures the flavor of Sidecar’s music. His music is an eclectic blend of blues, rock, hardcore, punk, folk, and jazz. Performing a variety of originals and reimagined covers on a multitude of instruments, Sidecar brings you a meaningful and energized performance you won’t soon forget.

Bud Weather, is a singer-songwriter based in Seattle who plays a mix of Funk, Folk, Jazz and Country known as folkadelic con-fusion. At times he sounds like Bob Dylan after a long bus ride with Neal Cassidy. He counts among his influences Bob Weir, Keller Williams and John Prine. Aly Crase is a singer/songwriter from Seattle, who crafts her songs through improv and believes that music should be organic, raw and have flaws which reflect the human spirit..Aly is a multi-instrumentalist who plays violin, piano, bass, guitar and drums. She is a classically trained violinist and has been playing since she was 6 years old and plays with symphonies and bands live and in studio. She's also self-taught on piano and has been playing since she was 3.

On Friday, July 20th, The Parliament Tavern will be hosting a night of funky psychedelic music featuring three of the Pacific Northwest’s finest genre bending acts: Special Order, Bud Weather’s Goodtime Hustle and The Aion Frequency. Special Order is a group of musicians making dialectable music. Their fluid translucent music is rebel music relevant to the eminent music revolution. They pride themselves in making “People Music”. The Aion Frequency, Seattle’s premier Folktronica act will be playing support. This tight knit group featuring Daniel Eckman, Jeremy Lenz, Tim Harper and Ben Heege is bound to amuse and amaze with their folk electronic dance jams. On Thursday, June 21st, Skylark Cafe and Club will be hosting a psychedelic music night featuring three of the Pacific Northwest’s trippiest acts. Skylark Cafe and Club is West Seattle’s premier music venue and restaurant offering live music, a full bar, delicious food and much more. From the heart of the Evergreen State, The High Council explores the boundaries of melody and groove. With a blend of transcendent improvisation and earthy rock sensibilities, THC draws on elements of jazz, reggae, rock and psychedelia. The High Council members are lead guitarist Zeke Wakefield, rhythm guitarist Ryan Phillapart, bass guitarist Reign King, keyboardist Zack Olson, drummer Davy Nefos and percussionist Jeff Pang.
