SEEKING
Band to Join, Vocalist - Soprano, Rhythm Guitar, Lead Guitar, Drums, Violin, Piano, Vocalist - Alto, Cello.ABOUT
I'm a female low-voice vocalist but I have a range of about 2 octaves. You could identify my vocal sound as sultry, some say gravelly. I also sing harmonies and have the ability to hit 'in-between' notes. I learned to play guitar for an instrument to sing along with but my voice is my main instrument. If the key doesn't fit I find a harmony.
I would love to get with some other musicians as a singer (probably not hard rock). The number of 'gigs' I have played have been in worship services most weeks for several years (I have a few local fans!) but nothing professional. Really ready to try something new and fun!! Teach me a song, I'll sing it.

Influences
I started with folk music and classic rock in the 70s but have been in contemporary christian worship bands for several years as 2nd guitar, lead and backup singer. I have also enjoyed jazz (Duke Ellington, John Coltrane, Diana Krall, Chuck Mangione, remember Melissa Manchester? Preservation Hall) many years. Christian musicians that inspire me are Steven Curtis Chapman, Downhere, Chris Tomlin, Third Day, Brandon Heath, Jesus Culture, Dan Dobek...just a few and I LOVE the sound of Asleep At The Wheel!
