About

Just a Bass player looking to start something new. I've got a guitar player, and songwriting has been going well; we just need a drummer (and a vocalist, so we don't have too). I consider myself decent. I learned most of my chops watching Les Claypool stuff, but when I write a bassline, it sounds more like a song. I don't have a problem playing covers, but would really like to start something original. It's pretty wide open.

I like a lot of variety, but I will try to narrow it down some (nobody likes vagueness). I generally like a grungier guitar sound (but I like the sweet stuff, too) that doesn't play the same thing as the bass line. For drummers, I prefer fancy hi-hat work over steroid-induced double bass playing. I like to mess with a variety of beats and rythems (not to say that I don't like something like a 4/4 time signature, but if I play it all the time I'll get bored). I think it would also be cool to have a keyboard player with an synthetic elecronic sound- I'm really a fan of what Rammstein is able to do with that. I like to play anything that will make people dance, laugh, smile, or at least nod their heads with acknowledgement.

That's a little about what I am and how I like to play. Like I said, it's really wide open, so if you like what you've read, contact me and we will see I we can't get something cool going.
