Not your typical jersey girl here, hence why ive ventured dwn here to Florida. Been singing since I was about 7. I've learned from the best, my papa dukes, whose been playing for nearly 40 years and is a seasoned vocalist/guitarist among many other things. He has always inspired me when it comes to my music and helped me to become the talented lyricist and vocalist I am today. His original music is amazing and he has allowed me many opportunities to share his spotlight while working with some very big names. He has previously opened for people like Kenny Rogers as well as played along side Terry Kirkman and the band The Association in front of thousands of people, just to name a few. I have had the pleasure of growing up working along side him, playing gigs at local coffee houses, up scale bars, and not so up scale bars =) , weddings, and parties, talent shows, fund raising events, charity events etc. I've co-wrote several songs with him as well and have also wrote several songs of my own. I enjoy writing and still continue to write lyrics on a regular basis. Unfortunately I am no longer within driving distance of my dad and his guitar so my lyrics take quite a bit longer to meet my desired expectations. I do have Garage band on my Mac computer but it takes forever to get a track together and I am in serious need of lessons for playing my beautiful guitar that is gathering some wicked dust! I would love to have someone who plays acoustic guitar and is interested in writing some music! I really would like to maybe even put together a set of original renditions of cover songs (ones people would know but done with our own twist) and play open mike nights every now and then, and hopefully lead to making some real money doing what we love!
