He studied saxophone, vocal music, and theater at Macomb Community College and Wayne State University in Detroit. Having to cut his college short, Stan joined and served 7 years in the US Air Force where he finished off his Bachelor's Degree in music and foreign language. Even through college and the Air Force, since 1986, Stan performed music locally wherever he was at, Detroit, Monterey California, Baltimore Maryland, and San Antonio, Texas. Over the 22 years of 'gigging', he always took time to write music, as well as perform cover and original music. Besides saxophone, Stan plays keys, Akai EWI4000s, and sings.
--Born in Uvalde, Texas, at tne mid-point of the 20th century, Rusty began his muiscal journey in 1960 when he began to play the trumpet in school band and continued to do so for the next 8 years in various marching bands and school orchestras. Along the way, he also learned to play guitar, drums, french horn, and baritone. After high schoool, he found himself in Denton, Texas playing drums in a rock group and was a member of the "house band" in the "Filmore South." While in the Dallas area, the band booked several gigs in California and found themselves playing the strip in L.A. and between playing there and the Dallas area, played along side such groups as The Steve Miller Band, Spirit, Iron Butterfly, Three Dog Night, Styx, and other notable bands of the late 1960s. He later followed the band Bubble Puppy and did live recordings with the band. After his stint in the US Army, he began writing and recording his original material and for the next several years played clubs in varous groups. Most recently in 2005, as a professional sound man, he ran sound for Lynrd Skynrd and Molly Hatchet. In 1986 he opened his own recording studio in San Antonio, Texas. There he began a love affair with the keyboards and decided to expand his abilities through them. Now, as a member of the Wild Sax Show, he feels quite comfortable playing keyboards and feels he has completed his own musical cycle.
