It would be very true to say my life is music. I attended Slippery Rock University's music college in Pennsylvania and studied with many professionals on piano and saxophone. I mainly focused on jazz, trying to model my sound and style after Joshua Redman and the late Michael Brecker. While studying under my studio teacher Terry Steele, I developed my ear for improvising over many differnt styles of music including comtemerary jazz, R&B, soul, various styles of blues, country and even rock.
Later in my performing I started expanding my listening to modern R&B, live hip hop bands and Neo-soul learning and performing some of todays hottest artists. This really started opening my mind up to a lot of new possibilities on the saxophone now trying to grasp the sounds of Ryan Zoidis and Sam Kininger of the funk/R&B horn band Lettuce. I now freelance in the Midwest performing with various artists in Omaha, Sioux Falls, Minneapolis, and everywhere in between.
