Looking to form a 70s, 80s and 90s classic rock band, but not play the same ol' crap every other cover band plays. Part classic rock, part (early) heavy metal, part "college rock", with some blues and Southern influences. But I don't want to play blues, country, funk, jazz, fusion, experimental, death metal, speed metal, emo, screamo, dreamo, steamo, bleemo, any other type of -o. Rock...simple enough. If someone can walk into the bar or party where we're playing and say "Oh man, I haven't heard that in years!", or "They used to play this on (fill in the call letters of whatever college radio station)!", that's what I'm aiming for. All of it is danceable, and it rocks. If the chemistry's right, we can work in some originals eventually, but just covers to start.

I play lead and rhythm guitar and do vocals, lead and backing. My solo style is more bluesy and melodic, so I'd really like to find a shredder to handle the metal stuff. I love harmonized vocals, so at least background vocals would be nice, and I'd like to find someone to handle the higher-range lead vocals, being as my voice is more baritone. Age and sex really don't matter, as long as you're mature, respect everyone else's rights and beliefs, and have the right mindset ( love the music of the 70s-90s, and can keep the ego thing in check). No druggies...sorry, I've been down that road and found druggies to be unreliable. If you drink or smoke, that's cool, just keep it under control (don't come to rehearsal or a gig sloshed, or have to take a smoke break every hour). I know this is asking a lot, but I think if we can find the right chemistry and groove, we'll be like no other cover band in he Treasure Valley.
