Looking for metal that moves and grooves with intelligence.

Influences:

I play different instruments/vocals so I tend to influence myself, but: Sabbath to Metallica, Mudvayne to Slipknot to Rush I love it all. I'm an active player but I can ride the root note if required($):)/ been playing bass and guitar for 25+ years with a totally different set of influence too numerous to list here not that that it would mean much in this area but ya never know.
