I am a classically trained pianist and singer looking for band mates to make high quality, fun music. Performing is a plus, making money even better, but the "fun" and "music" bits are first. I work hard at everything I do, and the more I love it, the harder I work.
My ideal find would be a couple of tight insturmentalists (guitar, bass, keys, drums?) who are interested in exploring the American Songbook with some new interpretations, throwing in some stuff with a little more "edge" and finding creative ways to get people off their feet.

Influences
Bernadette Seacrest, Erin McKeown, Imelda May, Devil Doll, Clairy Browne, Michael Buble and of course greats like Ella Fitzgerald, Eartha Kitt, Peggy Lee, Tony Bennett, Babby Darin and Billie Holiday. Throw in other standards like the Beatles, Nina Simone and Janis Joplin with newer stuff like Audra Mae, Janiva Magness, The Black Keys and Grace Potter and you're getting close.
There's some country in there, too, mostly classic (gotta do Patsy), rock-leaning and great 2-step songs. Just heard the Ronstadts' do "Ophelia" Oh yeah!
EQUIPMENT
More accustomed to my acoustic grand, but I'm learning to play my Yamaha S90 digital piano, have a little amp and a good mic to go with it. Access to more if I need it.
