ABOUT

Experienced vocalist looking to form a 70s-style metal/ hard-rock band. Riffs, riffs, riffs, attitude, and a little glitter thrown in for good measure. I believe style is as important as chops. It's part of your talent so please look rock and roll. Whatever that means to you could be leather, could be velvet.

I wrote the song above recently and recorded it in my bedroom using sounds from garage band. I played everything you hear except the lead guitar squeedles. I would like to do something heavier than that. I am not the greatest guitar player. But I'd like to collaborate with people who shred.

I listed Heavy Metal as a genre but I really only love metal from Sabbath through the 70s to NWOBHM and not much further. Maybe some early thrash. I like the classics. I'm not what most folks would call a metal head (not since I turned 13) I'm more of a Hard Rock Hippie who wishes she was a mid 70s sunset strip glitter kid. I'm not into the more extreme genres or their vocal styles. Sorry Dudes.

Influences

Free, Sabbath, Budgie, UFO (Schenker era), Scorpions (Uli Jon Roth era) Iron Maiden (all of it, forever), Judas Priest, Grand Funk, Faces, Deep Purple, Rainbow, Triumph, Uriah Heap, Rush, April Wine, Frumpy, Atomic Rooster, Epitaph, Spooky Tooth, Mott, Bad Co, Led Zeppelin, Angel Witch, Quartz, Tygers of Pan tang, Runaways, Thin Lizzy, Cheap Trick, Van Halen. My voice kinda sounds like a girl version of Paul Rogers with a little Stevie Nicks thrown in but I have a pretty decent range... Phil Moog and Ronnie James Dio are my idols and I can do a mean Rob Halford impression when I want to.
