I'm looking for a few good people to start a black metal group. Skill is important, but not ultimately important; you don't have to be a steve vai, marco minnemann, or a victor wooten, but you should be able to play your instrument.

The bands in the "influences" section are sort of the feel i'm looking for, so it would make sense to model the group's sound on bands like these. Basically, I'm looking to put together a group of people willing and able to make atmospheric, progressive, black metal. I've got nothing wrong with traditional black metal stylings, (Mayhem, Emperor, Darkthrone, etc.) but when all you do is one thing over and over, the music gets terribly boring. I'd like to start with doing covers of whatever songs catch our fancy until we get the motivation and experience enough to write our own music.

Be warned; finding trendy, cool people to play some mallcore, mass-produced, cradle of bodom crap is not what I'm here for. If you're into that sh*t, get the fu*k out. I'm not here to find drama either; if you can't show up, be productive, and keep your sh*t together, then don't bother contacting at all.
