I've been playing drums for over 30 years. I began studying drums in 1976...I have a music degree in percussion performance from WVU and played in the AirForce Band. I've taught drums and have worked as a freelance drummer in southern CA. I currently play in two local bands (SRO and Area 51) and I'm interested in finding some people who would like to start a smmoth jazz group to gig around the Charleston/Huntington area.

I choose Yamaha drums...Period! I love their quality and sound. I have 2 sets...a Beech Custom in Pear Yellow for recording and larger venues and a smaller 5 piece Stage Custom for bars and smaller gigs. My cymbals...Zildjian of course. I prefer Vic Firth sticks...5A Extreme or 5B
