ABOUT

Guitarist relocated to the Jacksonville area from the North East. I have many years of experience playing everything from Metal to oldies to country to dance/funk, but I prefer METAL. I released two CD's with Metal band Creature Of Habit in the 90's and prior to moving South was most recently in a Sabbath/Priest Tribute act with James Rivera of Helstar/Malice/Seven Witches.

I attended the Guitar Institute of Technology (GIT) in Hollywood, CA. My touring experience has taken me as far as Japan and Germany. I was the winner of Guitar Player Magazine's 30th Anniversary Competition as "Best Metal Guitarist", and I was also winner of the Pittsburgh Guitar Wars and Guitarmageddon contests.

I am currently in an original Progressive Metal band called Artizan (w w w.artizanmetal . com/). We released our third CD The Furthest Reaches on Pure Steel Records in 2015.

I also play with original artist FareWell To Fear.

I'm always looking to meet good musicians, and wouldn't mind putting together a cover band to play locally.

Influences

I love everything from the "Classic" Metal bands such as Priest, Maiden, Sabbath, Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax to more modern sounding bands such as Pantera, Machinehead, Nevermore, Killswitch, Disturbed, Lamb Of God, Alter Bridge, A7X, Ghostship Octavius, Twelve Foot Ninja and everything in between such as Van Halen, Alice In Chains, Badlands, and even classic rock like Zeppelin, Beatles and The Doors.

Being a guitarist, I grew up listening to and being influenced by most of the "shred" bands/players such as Racer X, Yngwie, Jason Becker, Cacaphony, Vinnie Moore, Tony MacAlpine, etc.

I also love Progressive Metal such as Dream Theater, Fates Warning, Queensryche (old), Crimson Glory. I was was into some of the 80's "hairband" stuff, but mainly just the bands that had good guitarists (Dokken, Ratt, TNT, Stryper, Extreme).

EQUIPMENT

I am endorsed by Egnater Amplification (http://www.egnateramps.com/) so my main rig consists of a Egnater M4 modular preamp along with a Engl E570 preamp and Mesa Triaxis. I have a Fractal Audio Axe-FX III for effects and a VHT poweramp along with Mesa and VHT cabinets.

My guitars are two Tom Andersons, two Robins, a Jackson, a Charvel, a Schecter Loomis 7 string and an Ibanez. I also have an acoustic guitar.

I have quite a bit of PA equipment too.
