Does anyone still love to play music? I've tried to be in a few bands over the last decade but could not find anyone dedicated enough to continue down the path and play for fun as well as gig sometimes. I'm certainly not trying to go down the rockstar lifetstyle path as my primary lifestyle but love to jam and would like to play for audiences in the future.
As it states elsewhere, I've been playing on and off for around 15 years and have a large acoustic set that's a little harder to move around, two base drums, and a smaller electric set that's not overly flashy but gets the job done. I'm a better cover artist than a perfectionist tribute artist but can memorize songs if need be. I'm not opposed to writing music and am pretty good at just feeling the beat and playing along.
I play a pretty good range of music from harder to softer music. I enjoy rock and metal the most but am willing to play other songs as well. I feel like I am pretty easy to get along with and can be pretty flexible as long as you are willing to commit to a reasonable number of performance dates.
I'm not a rockstar but I am willing to practice and show commitment. I am looking to practice up to two times a week, preferably Sunday and gig every Friday or every other Friday. Look forward to hearing from you!
