Hello and Thank you first off! I'm looking to join a band in this area. I am open to any kind of music. As long as I don't have to throw my voice out in the first 2 songs of the set, I think I'll be ok! I'm currently not in a band. I was in a band for about 3 practices but that didn't work out. Have jammed with a few bands also. My dad was in a southern rock/blues/country band in the 70's called "Snakebite". As I was growing up in the 80's, he was in a Gospel group called "Saved" Back in the 60's, he was in a band called "King James & The Royal Jesters" I have grown up hearing all the stories about these bands before my time, and watching him and his band during my time. My father was a great man. I lost him in August of 2007. I want to do what he did because I have such a passion for music. I'm tired of this craze that's sweeping the nation, you know what I'm talking about, karaoke. I'm a much better singer than to be compared to a bunch of drunks that can sing in the shower but that's about it. I'm not a karaoke amatuer by any stretch of the imagination. I believe live music is the best and will never die no matter how much karaoke you throw in a bar. I'm willing to give 100% to whatever band wants me. My thing though is, I like to do covers. Originals are nice, but, as we all know, it's about the crowd. If we play a bunch of songs they don't know, they'll lose interest. I'm very much a crowd pleaser too. I know how to work a crowd and get em goin'. I can also read a crowd very well to know what kind of specific music to play. I do mostly everything by ear. I can't read music. Hope this helps in your decision. If you like what you see, I look forward to hearing from you soon. oh and by the way, i'm too poor to go premium but you can get a hold of me at dennis.thevenin at g mail dot com
