Currently playing with www.coyoterun.com. I am a 27-year old singer/songwriter. I began taking piano lessons as a small child, and studied under a descendant of J.S. Bach in Yugoslavia. I began learning trombone and drums in Karachi, Pakistan in middle school, then moved to Quito, Ecuador, where I studied drums and jazz trombone. I graduated high school in Panama City, Panama in 1998, where I received the Louis Armstrong Jazz Award, toured with a couple of bands, performed with the 79th Army Showband, and did performances on national Panamanian t.v. with The National Conversatory of Music. I moved to the States and made my way out to California, where I started playing guitar and writing songs. My dad met my mother when he was touring with a large chicago-style band called The Spurlows. She was studying piano and vocal performance at UNCW at the time. I grew up acting in many musicals, and so my songs have always had a sort of theatrical flair to them. Anyways, out there in the desert of Southern California, I met many amazing musicians who went on to further influence my musical path, and personal growth spiritually. I migrated back to the east coast with $5 in my pocket, and over the past 8 years or so, I've enjoyed living and playing music in Florida, North Carolina, and Northern Virginia. I am a studio musician, and currently play music in several projects. I play drums and percussion, piano and keyboards, acoustic and electric guitars, and trombone. I am a professional singer/songwriter and amateur producer. I am not a paying member here, so please find me at www.myspace.com/ziggivandorn to contact me.
