ABOUT

I'm 45 and have begun recording right before I turned 40. I'm looking for musicians and singers for Contemporary Christian (more toward rock and roll) and Gospel music. Please contact me by e-mail with the subject line: Share Christ With Everyone!

Purpose:
Using the genres of Contemporary Christian Music, with the direct focus of Contemporary Praise and Worship as needed; and Gospel Music, with the direct focus of Gospel Praise and Worship as needed, the desire and drive of Rev. Matthew James Fontana, herein shall be commonly referred to as Rev. Matt Fontana or simply Rev. Matt, is to share the message of Jesus Christ in original, current and classic music, in original, current and classic Contemporary Christian Music with pre-recorded musical accompaniment and original, current and classic gospel music; and whenever needed and possible, fulfilling the leadership responsibility and need of a worship leader, music director or sole music minister, providing music which reflects a speaker’s message and/or speakers’ messages, possibly leading congregants in worship. Rev. Matt will operate, using at least one acoustic guitar and one acoustic baritone guitar, additionally up to two more guitars as needed for CCM; and in addition to fulfilling his vision through gospel music as a gospel organist, Rev. Matt can also support the music ministry as defined within the church or venue as a drummer and is developing skills and techniques to expand also as a bassist.

Rev. Matt strives to help listeners know and understand they can do things in a new way if they're done right and appropriately, through the many results he shares of approaching scriptures and time-honored vintage standards in a new way, while maintaining the meaning of the song. Ministry is creative and is only creative and can only be creative because of The Creator. For the majority of his presentations in rock and roll, most commonly referred to as CCM, focusing directly on original songs and/or original arrangements Rev. Matt shares new material, musical self-discoveries, melodies and arrangements, resulting in a new sound of familiar and/or possibly forgotten time-honored, vintage works, while maintaining the song's original message.

For praise band workshops and/or special events, Rev. Matt desires to build singers and musicians with the kingdom goal of developing a quality musical ministry to minister to all listeners/worshippers, teaching/rehearsing vocal harmonies and arrangements for the rhythm section of original, current and classic Contemporary Christian titles. For choir workshops and/or special events, Rev. Matt desires to build singers and musicians with the kingdom goal of developing a quality musical ministry to minister to all listeners. Rev. Matt will present songs by teaching vocal harmonies and arrangements for the rhythm section, using current gospel music; standards, possibly anthems and spirituals from the past and present; and possibly original gospel music.

Vision:
The vision of Rev. Matt is to play Christian music for the people in the musical form of original rock-n-roll music and/or in the musical form of significantly rhythmical gospel music, most commonly referred to as Black Gospel Music. The direct vision of Rev. Matt is playing for God’s people throughout the region, preferably at picturesque locations (at least for the Christmas holiday season) with hopes and expectations that the Power of God will move through him to possibly make a [lifelong] lasting impression. Rev. Matt’s current vision includes multiple locations within Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio, West Virginia and Maryland. Rev. Matt’s mission, an example of the Great Commission, is to make disciples, lead people in the direction of a local body for Christian discipleship and/or believe that the power of the Holy Spirit works through him to seek Christian discipleship in a local body for worship, enabling them to be baptized in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19).
