I have been playing guitar since 1983, sampling since '87.

If anyone in the Livonia, Redford, Dearborn, Westland, etc. area is interested...or just over the internet, I could use some help putting together some ideas for original songs. I am good with guitar, making patches loops and samples, but terrible at figuring out time signatures and tempo to come up with good beats to some new songs I am writing on the guitar. Composing by starting with beats is easy, it's the other way around that has me stuck.

I also have some hearing problems, so final mix stuff tends to be too high-pitched because I cannot hear much above 10k hertz.

What I want to go for is to mix the main styles of Detroit music into something new. Garage/bluesy punk like the Stooges, Hyenas, White Stripes and the electronic music invented here. I am not a huge fan of techno itself, Plastikman is the only thing I consider myself to be a fan of (and he is from over the bridge) but I like the UK stuff that techno influenced (Aphex, Autechre, BOC, etc.).

My guitar playing sounds like the Jesus Lizard/Voivod by way of the Butthole Surfers with a foundation built of early Metallica.

Parker, Modulus guitars. Building a fretless 6 string. Sovtek Mig 100, rare pedals. Synths and drum machines consisting of analog, virtual analog, digital, PC based, android and IOS. I use Tracktion and Reaper DAWs.
