39th Army Band

As a member of the 39th Army Band and the New Hampshire Army National Guard you have a rare opportunity to become part of a team of highly skilled and motivated musicians. Benefits include a possible Enlistment Bonus, Student Loan Repayment Program, Montgomery GI Bill, Tuition Assistance (up to $4500 a year) and a 100% Tuition Waiver at state-run schools like UNH, Keene State, Plymouth State and all Community Technical Colleges. We also provide military training and professional line instruments for our musicians. By serving part-time in the 39th Army Band you can pay for college, make money performing professionally all while serving your local community and country. Performing groups include the Concert Band, Marching Band, Jazz Band, Rock Band, Woodwind Quintet and Brass Quintet. We are currently looking for qualified applicants for the following positions: Woodwind, Brass and Electronic instruments (Guitar, Bass and Piano). Applicants must have prior musical training. Interested musicians may contact the 39th Army Band to schedule a time to sit in with the band during a rehearsal.

In your first year as a part-time musician E4 Specialist you will make approximately $4,000. You will also earn an additional $5-$6k during basic training and Advanced musical training.
