7th Overture is an all original, deeply committed progreesive rock/metal group with a collective spiritual mind and a positive attitude. We've been playing together for several years and have several songs in our arsenal. Most of our music includes odd time signatures and frequent tempo changes. Songs average about 7-10 minutes a piece with multiple sections. Writing is primarily a colaborative effort. We practice at least once a week and sometimes twice. We've played several shows including the Cornerstone music festival two years in a row and are currently seeking a record label and the possibility of touring in the future.
We are currently seeking a dedicated drummer and a vocalist.
We'd prefer a drummer who can dedicate himself to at least one practice per week. Drums play an integral role in the song writing process. Our previous drummer lived two hours away and could only practice occasionaly which led to a mutual withdrawal from the band.
For singing duties, we're seeking someone with a wide range who sings. No screamers. While some members of the band are not apposed to death metal and hardcore music, it's not the style we're trying to accomplish ourselves. The practice dedication need not be as important for a singer unless he wishes to provide a lot of input on songwriting. In the past, our singers have made it to fewer practices than the other members and it didn't cause any major issue.
Above all, any potential members must have a positive attitude.
