80's R&B/funk

Rhythm Guitar, Bass Guitar, Keyboard, Background Singer.

Looking to start 60s,70s, and 80s R&B/funk band (including disco) to hopefully play dances/parties/events and/or whatever comes about. Songs like "No parking on the Dance Floor" and "Funkytown" are national treasures, I think. Let's bring them back to the people.

I'm a pretty novice drummer, but the beats for these songs are generally very simple. I have a great female lead singer lined up and maybe a keyboardist. Probably need a bassist next to lay down the basic grooves. Would like to get things started, and have fun learning and growing with a new band. Must have a love of the music and desire to work to get better. We can get better, but it's hard to work around attitudes, drugs, lack of committment, etc. I look forward to talking with you.
